Her work can also be seen this fall in a group exhibit with the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers at the Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center in St. Louis from Oct 1 to 31. As a juried artist member of Best of Missouri Hands for eight years, Lori currently serves as a Board Member and Membership Co-Chair. She has also served over a nine year period in various roles as Newsletter Editor, Vice President and a Board Member for the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers (MoNEP) www.monep.org. Lori is represented by several art galleries, including 20:08 Gallery St. Louis on Cherokee Street, which features the work of several noted St. Louis area photographers. “Clarksville is the perfect place for me to work as a nature photographer. I am constantly inspired by the natural surroundings of the area and the other working artists in the community. Photographing reflections on water and birds in flight are two of the things that challenge me right now and Clarksville provides me with a constant supply of subject matter. From my gallery window, I can view one of the most magnificent rivers in the world and I am only a few miles from many outstanding natural areas. Our part of the river is considered an important birding area by the Audubon Society. I enjoy viewing and photographing a variety of birds that migrate along the Mississippi flyway including one of the largest populations of wintering bald eagles in North America. “Getting outside, exploring and capturing images that depict the wonders of nature is when I feel the most at ease and true to myself. I hope you enjoy my work and are able to see and feel the same things that I have experienced. I want to share my love of the natural world with you and inspire you to help protect it for future generations to enjoy.”
