Sherri A. Haupert's collection of traditional film photography captures nature's finest subjects and man's most artful creations. Shooting with a Minolta 35mm camera, her composition skills are self-taught — ranging from classic to abstract. Sherri cuts her own mat board openings and chooses which moulding will accompany each image she frames, adding a touch of personality to her artwork. A staple at Kansas City area festivals and other community event that display art, Sherri's images are also welcomed into juried fine art shows. Since she founded Artful Accents Photography in 2003, two of her photos have been published: a young cottontail rabbit caught in a "giggle" and a graphic, swirling hosta plant. Recent travel to Italy and the islands of Maui and Hawaii have allowed Sherri to add exciting new images and expand her inviting art collection. A Missouri native, born in Marshall and raised in Blue Springs, she graduated from blue Springs High School in the late 70s. Sherri resides north of the river, near the International airport. For a copy of her event schedule, or more information on images in her collection, please contact Sherri. Artful Accents Photography
