I was born in Iowa in 1959, and was showing artistic talent at the age of two, when my brother and I painted our family car orange. I created pencil drawings and watercolors most of my life and fell in love with gourds seven years ago. I love everything from creating my own canvas to creating works of art that no one can believe could possibly be a gourd. I have been the president of the Show Me Gourd Society for two years and this is my third year as show chairman for the Show Me Gourd Festival. I have so much built up passion for gourd art there is never a day goes by that I am not working on something fantastic. Artistic Home Painting
