Fishbowl Pottery - Lori Fish

A Wisconsin native, Lori has been making pots since 9th grade. "Once I experienced clay there was no tuning back." She took classes throughout high school, at Carthage College, Kenosha Wisconsin, and Madison Area Technical College, Madison Wisconsin. She then studied three years with Tom Fleming at the University of Wisconsin, Marathon County. It was there that she, "learned to stretch the limits of the clay and myself." In 1995 she got a wheel and kiln of her own. It was then she began to master her craft.

During the 1990's Lori taught many art classes in the Wausau area. At the University of Wisconsin- Marathon, she offered "Artful Chess Sets" at College For Kids as well as adult ceramics through the University Extension. Lori was also involved with the Center for the Visual Arts where she taught children's classes in clay and multimedia. In 1995 Lori was invited to be Artist in Residence through the "Very Special Arts Wisconsin" program. She has exhibited her work throughout Wisconsin.

In 2006 Lori moved to Missouri where she is employed by the Lebanon School District by day and is a studio potter by night. Lori is inspired by nature, is an avid gardener and loves to oil paint. She is a member of the Lebanon Art Guild and Midwest Clay Artists.
