There was a time when Kay was best known for her black and white photography including the mannequin series. More recently she has enjoyed color photography, including large-scale collages of sites of interest in St. Louis and around the world. "I enjoy still life and lanscape and architecture, but I especially like people. Travel, for me, has taken on a new meaning. Everywhere we're so different and so much the same. I enjoy the anonymous role of record keeper; I like feeling invisible behind the camera. Then I like sharing what I have seen."
