A native daughter of Missouri Sharon is an award winning artist who loves the versatile world of watercolor and acrylics. The beauty of all creation is at the core of her works. Her portraits of people, pets and landscapes or simply a creation from color and design in contemporary abstraction are all subjects captured with an expression of joy.
Sharon is primarily a self taught artist who loves to work with other artists who constantly teach and encourage each other. She believes that this is the key to the success of all artists as they enjoy the journey of experiencing art. Sharon has studied with artists Marilyn Bradley, Sherrill Cooper, Shirley Nachtrieb and John Fitzgibbons.
Sharon’s work has been shown in many of the regional galleries and by various private collectors. The year 2007 brought great blessings with the acceptance into the Missouri Watercolor National Show, The MOAK Show at the Springfield Art Museum 2008 and The National Oil & Acrylic Society’s “Best of America Show 2009”. Sharon is a juried member of the Missouri Watercolor Society, the National Oil and Acrylics Painter’s Society, the Springfield Art Alliance, the Springfield Arts Council and the Best of Missouri Hands. Represented by the Fresh Gallery in Springfield, Missouri, she has received awards in numerous juried regional and national shows.
