Welcome to The Best of Missouri Hands web site! We're glad you came to visit!

Missouri Artisans Association, better known as The Best of Missouri Hands, is a 501c3 nonprofit organization representing artists from throughout the state of Missouri. Our growing membership includes not only well-established professional artisans but also those "just starting out," and many more in between. Equally important, however, is the fact that our membership includes non-artists as well. Anyone can be a member of Missouri Artisans Association. We welcome both Missourians and those from outside our state as general members.Our juried artist members, all Missouri residents, are recognized as masters in their respective mediums. As such, they are knowledgable spokespeople for the arts, serving as mentors, public speakers, and demonstrators at schools, shows, and various other venues.

The mediums of our members are wide and varied. As an educational organization, we strive to connect artists in an effort to share knowledge and expertise. Please contact us to find experienced artists to speak or demonstrate for your event or group. With members in every part of the state, The Best of Missouri Hands serves as a link between artists and the community at large. Our members speak to school groups, demonstrate at local, state and national events, and continue to educate the public about Missouri's visual arts and fine crafts. We stay connected through a wonderful newsletter, chock full of information.

We are proud of our annual ArtSmart conference. Each March, this conference offers tremendous opportunities to network with other craftsmen, gallery owners and representatives from various publications. Nationally known speakers offer their expertise in a myriad of presentations throughout the weekend. Smaller seminars provide even more information.

You'll be impressed by the diversity of our members' work in the Artisans' section. Their individual pages offer specific information.

Missouri Artisans Association understands the arts.
Through our many programs we endeavor to promote and raise public awareness of the visual arts created in Missouri. Our members demonstrate, educate and interact to share Missouri’s tremendous legacy of art and fine craft. I encourage you to support Missouri Artisans Association’s efforts through membership and donation. We offer a membership or donation level to suit every budget. As a 501c3 organization, every tax-deductible penny is appreciated and used to further the arts in our state.

Missouri Artisans Association also understands artists.
We’re artists ourselves and know what it’s like to work alone. Sometimes it’s difficult to locate supplies, to know how to best display work, to find the right shows and exhibitions, to further education, to generate fresh ideas, to take work to the next level.

There’s no need to “go it alone.” The Best of Missouri Hands offers the helping hand artists and artisans need along the creative journey. The organization reaches out to provide strong support for artists in the form of information, education, networking, and so much more.
